This is the first collaboration between GAN and the German designer based in London, Bodo Sperlein, known for his exuberant and sensory way of integrating artisanal manufacturing processes with organic and contemporary designs. With Botanica, the designer has sought to reflect the beauty and complexity of the natural world through intricate details, soft curves, and stratified elements. For this, it was essential that the pile of the Botanica surfaces present different heights and elevations, imitating the undulations, organic contours, and dynamic appearance of the botanical universe. This has been achieved through the mixture of two artisanal techniques: hand-tufted and carving.
